Healthy Weight

The Australian Government is pleased to introduce the Healthy Weight Guide developed by the Department of Health to help Australians achieve and maintain a healthy weight. The Healthy Weight Guide consists of an interactive website as well as supporting print materials.

The Healthy Weight Guide website contains information and tools that will guide users to:

  • Set goals and plan healthy meals and physical activity
  • Monitor what they do and manage challenges
  • Find information and support that will guide them along the way.

Being a healthy weight is important for all Australians. A healthy weight can not only help you live longer but it can also help you to enjoy life more. Many of us, however, don’t know how to tell if we are a healthy weight. Or if we do know we’re not a healthy weight, we’re not sure how to make the changes that will get us heading in the right direction. The Healthy Weight Guide is here to help you. You’ll find information about healthy weight, what to do to achieve and maintain healthy weight, how to do it and resources to help you along the way.
