“Harmony Day is held each year on 21 March. It’s a day to celebrate our cultural diversity. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.” http://www.harmony.gov.au
During week 8 of this term, the Kindergarten students and their teachers held a special event to celebrate Harmony Week. Harmony Day at Kindy celebrated the diversity of culture within our school and classrooms. It involved the children coming to school in orange (to symbolise harmony) or in traditional dress. Our Kindy parents kindly donated plates of multi-cultural food for a shared picnic lunch, and the children participated in an assortment of indoor and outdoor activities throughout the day, making this an exciting and fun event for all.
